"You finally completed your task." Vishnu said as he looked empathetically at No.8 who had been slogging through repetitive tasks that she was given. Not only that, the morning never came despite the amount of time spent through the dungeon instance.
No.2 had managed to eloquently convince the others to give up and he had also attempted to tell No.8 to stop doing this dungeon instance that does not have any worth in doing so. Yet, despite all the excuses that No.2 gave to her, she did not stop. Neither did she stop working on the tasks that Vishnu had given her.
All she knew was that she needed to move to the stage where she could have a one to one fight with Vishnu. No.8 knew that she would not stand even a chance against the God of Preservation even for a minute now that she was thoroughly exhausted by the numerous ridiculous tasks given by Vishnu to wear her down.
But as long as she could get a hit back, a slap, or anything that could show her defiance, No.8 was willing to keep her sanity in check within this dungeon instance and struggle until she had the chance to even hold her Wand Rifle so that she at least assaults him.
"…" No.8 continued to hold on through sheer will as Vishnu looked at the vase she cleaned, a task where she was initially given to wipe it so thoroughly, that he could see his reflection through the vase. In the meantime, Vishnu felt that the set of tasks that had been given to her was more than sufficient, thus allowing her to move to the next stage.
"Great. The vase looks good." Lord Vishnu said with a firm nod. "Prepare the dining table and breakfast for two. Do what you can with the ingredients that are in the kitchen." As Vishnu explained the next task, his clothes automatically changed to one that was of battle attire. No.8 now knows that the fight against him by be close and decides to entertain this one last task.
However, as Vishnu opened the front door, the environment outside looked rather different. In fact, even the window views were all blacked out and there was no way to see what was outside when No.8 took a closer look. Suddenly, the moment he closed the manor front doors while indicating that he might take some time to return, the entire manor interior started to change.
Everything was trembling and furniture was moving by themselves which caused No.8 to find a balance in avoiding the items crashing towards her and also not being swept away by the drastic transformation of the manor's interior.
But just as she thought she had evaded one of the sofas, another cupboard seemed to be falling in her direction. At that point, No.8 did not have any strength or time to move away and thus decided to take the hit. Upon closing her eyes and using her hands to block the impending impact, she realised everything stopped moving after being hit into the window was over.
When she peeked to see what was the aftermath of the manor's major shifting, she realised she was in an apartment room similar to what Jin had built for New Ress City. In fact, with closer inspection, she found out that this was exactly the same apartment building that she had left empty after losing No.4.They had initially decided to buy an apartment together and live after their promise to clear the so called war against the Celestials that King Jin had announced prior to Lord Vishnu's assault.
Now that the War was over, the apartment was a haunting reminder of how she had lost her loved one, and cried in the corner of the apartment for several nights after work. The fact that she returned to the very same home had made her eyes swell up once more, unable to accept the fact that No.4 was gone forever.
She was not even able to say goodbye to him because of the circumstances despite being on the very same battlefield. Her regrets continued to leak through her heart until she heard a loud yawn from the supposed bedroom.
At that point in time, she thought that it was an enemy within the most precious space in her life but when the figure came out of the room, it was none other than No.4.
"Why are you awake so early in the morning, and even with a maid uniform on?" No.4 said so casually that his comments startled her.
"I… I… was hoping to make breakfast for you." No.8 tried to search for the proper words to speak but at that point of time, she blurted out the task given by Vishnu.
"That is rare of you to do that...even rarer that you wear a maid uniform… Wait a minute What's the occasion? How much did you spend trying to improve your Wand Rifle?" No.4 got more defensive and went into his room to pick up his personal tablet to check his electronic cash balance. "You would still be asleep for the weekend and not be-"

No.8 did not care.
She did not care if this No.4 was a fake.
She did not care that this was just an illusion created by Vishnu or Jin.
All she wanted was this scene to live forever as she hugged No.4 tightly within her embrace, leaving this 'fake' No.4 no choice but to submit to her will. "Alright, alright. Then please, my cute little maid. Would you mind making breakfast for me?" No.4 requested which No.8 shyly nodded her head.
"Oh but no more burnt eggs-OW OK, OK. I take anything!" No.4 quickly regretted even saying the word burnt as No.8 pinched him hard. But at that point, No.8's tears were already leaving her face and she rubbed it clean with No.4's shirt.
"Seriously, what happened? Is something wrong that you are crying like this? What you are doing today is not the norm." No.4 replied as he tried to move away from her embrace and attempted to check her but she was not letting him go in any way.
"Just shut up and let me be in this position then I will make breakfast for you." No.8 said which No.4 quietly complied while stroking her hair and giving it a sniff.
