"This guy is Mitra, the prodigy and elite of the human camp on this planet."

Sam introduced Mitra to Noah and then turned to him.

"That is Noah, a friend from back home."

Mitra finally came to his senses and his aura raged.

"She is the one controlling the forest?"

"Yeah." Sam answered calmly.

He got ready to attack her, but the vines of the chair coiled all over his body and bound him.

"Don't make any unnecessary moves. It would be hard for me to save you if she is really hell bent on killing you. Even if she forgives you on my account, there is a guy called Kumar who will shove a spear up your ass.

I would have a hard time stopping him because the whole situation will be so amusing for me."

Mitra looked at Sam coldly.

He is really not in a mood to joke around. He is very angry.

"Sam, she killed our people."

Sam looked at him and sighed.

"I should have known that you would be like this. I know she killed your people. But just sit back and listen for now. Because she is the key to stop this useless massacre on your side.

Do you want listen in or not?"

"If she is your friend and on the same level, I can just kill her and the massacre will end on its own."

"Yeah sure. Just a quick question, how are you planning to do that?

That face is not her real body, you don't even know where her real body is. Even if use all your might and destroy the forest, she would have already escaped by them. And she will start the whole thing in a new forest and more people will continue to die.

That too assuming that you would be able to do anything to that forest.

Just listen to me. I am starting to think, bringing you here is a fucking mistake."

Mitra finally calmed down, but he still couldn't stop glaring at Noah.

Noah on the other hand chuckled as she looked at Sam.

"It seems like you like this guy. I have never seen you so impatient. Even Philip wouldn't have made you explain yourself this much."

"Of course, he wouldn't. He would just do whatever I tell him to. That guy will just annoy me for the sake of it, not because he couldn't follow what I tell him to do.

Anyway, if what I know is true, your final goal of the mission is not exactly to kill humans, right? It should be helping giants occupy the territory of humans and the major part of it should be here."

"Yeah, you got that right."

"Based on my estimation, you already gained a lot of territory here, just from the eastern front. I think you can move to a different place now."

"But you would just take it back as soon as I left."

"That is none of your business. You mission is only to get the territory, not to keep it safe. Keeping it safe is the giants' job. If someone just comes along and takes it away from them, it is their problem."

"So, you just want me to leave from here? What if your speculation is wrong?"

"That is what my next plan is about. First, withdraw all of your influence from the western front forest. I will take over and attack the giants on the west. I will take the territory back and hand it over to humans.

You can check on your mission status and see if it is reduced from your progress and if it did, we can go for a different solution."

Noah was silent for a while.

"You are fucking annoying. Why don't you just mind your own business instead of meddling with mine? Because of you, my mission is going to be delayed for who knows how long. You owe me for this."

"Alright, alright, I owe you for this."

"So, what exactly is your mission? Is it just kill count?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, I thought you would take that mission of information exchange between the four races. Being a double agent for both invaders and defenders. I thought that would be more to your style."

"Nah, I gave it to someone else."

"Who?"

"Dayus."

"Pfft… Hahahah…"

Noah started laughing and didn't stop for three minutes.

"I really want to see his face right now. Do you think they are here?"

"I don't know. From the information I gathered you are the only one that came after I am done."

"Anyway, contact me after you are done here. If what you said, works I will just leave from this place and go to the five cities.

But as I said, it is very tough over there because of all the shit you stirred. It will take a lot of time."

"You are way head of others. You might even finish this mission before me. With your stupid ability, it is almost cheating."

"You are the one to talk. Bye."

Noah left after that.

Mitra finally couldn't hold back and was about to run his mouth at Sam, but Sam already beat him to it.

"Mitra, I know that you are patriotic and all that, but let me tell you something, do you know why this war was even happening? Why was your planet which was isolated from the other planets for such a long time, suddenly have so many wormholes allowing the invaders to come here?

How did invaders find out at the same time? After all, there are three races and they live separately. It is not like they are all that cordial with each other?

Have you ever even thought about it?"

Mitra was stumped. Of course, he thought about it, but when he realized he can't figure out the answer, he let it go. It didn't even take five minutes for him to do that.

"This war is all a game for someone high up. The gods that you worship so dearly, have used you guys as pawns in their game.

And when I say game, I am not being metaphorical, I am being completely honest, this is all just a game and Noah and I are the players in it, and we are not the only ones.

You are getting angry at her for killing you guys, but in a way, for her you are all just numbers. After all, even your god doesn't care about you and used you all up entertainment, why would we care? Partcularly, when our lives are being held hostage by the same gods?

No matter how angry you are at her, you will not be able to take any revenge. Even if you get a chance, you will fail.

You are a great guy and you are loyal too. That is why I am showing you the ugly and the true side of this war."

"So, when you said you are on a mission, it is a mission of killing the invaders?"

"Yes, all I have to do is kill a certain number of invaders to pass."

"So, you are not here to help us out?"

"No, that is not my goal. My goal was to kill the invaders and it would be fulfilled faster if I tied up with the armies of this planet. That is all I have done.

Of course, in the process I did help you guys fight the invaders. I guess it is an added bonus for you."

"How can I trust what you say? Why would the gods that we worshipped all our lives, the same gods that looked after us for so long do something like this? Why should I take your words over the gods."

"That is up to you. But I haven't lied to you until now.

The only lie I have ever told you is that I live in a forest like a hermit. Instead, I live in a city that is built solely to cater my needs and likes.

Anyway, it is up to you, if you want stick around, if you want to go back to the camp and tell them what you have seen here, that is fine by me too. But this is the only way for you to stop the useless deaths of your camp members in this area.

Noah is going to listen to me, and only me. It would take a few lifetimes for you guys to go against her."

Mitra didn't know what to say, he just slumped into the chair and started thinking.

Meanwhile, Sam sat in his chair and made his move.

First thing he did is, grow the forest on the other side of the giant camp.

The giants were shocked when they saw the rapid growth of the trees. They would be surrounded by the forest at this point.

They held a meeting once again.

"What do you think this means? What should we do?"
