Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?
Chapter 1650 1650: Remember Me?—–
“Ancient City?! Molluskians?!”
The Spirit immediately gasped; she seemed to know who they were! The revelation of the Molluskians existence and the Ancient City under the dungeon brought great unrest to the Great Oasis Spirit, they immediately realized she knew something about them, but for some reason, was acting very strangely about it.
“So you know…” Shade nodded as he glanced at her with his calm blue eyes. “Then do you also know who their King is? And why do they claim to have come from the past through Time Magic and a Rainbow Shell that carries “Prime Magic” as they said?”
The words “King” and then “Rainbow Shell” and “Prima Magic” made her squirm lightly, as if these words triggered something within her, some sort of post-traumatic stress disorder.
“T-This is…”
The Spirit looked confused, nervous, and shocked at the same time; her hands were trembling, and the Oasis People had never seen her act this way before. They were slightly afraid, and were growing angrier at Shade for making her feel upset.
“M-My apologies, is this too much to ask? You seem very bothered… Are you alright?” Shade asked, nervous.
“What with that response though? Did something happen to you? are you related with the Molluskians, Oasis Spirit?” Nepheline wondered, shew as much like her daughter.
“Please tell us anything you know!” Aquarina said. “We’ll make sure to help you!”
“Y-yes…!” Agua nodded.
As this happened, the Spirit remained in silence, touching her forehead while her expression looked like she was struggling to put her thoughts into words.
At the same time, Silvia, Justicio, and Pyuku were glancing from afar, they were mostly in silence, but Khepri wouldn’t stop talking nonsense.
“Hey, I’ve seen her somewhere, that face…!” The Spirit kept saying.
“What are you talking about? Why would you even know her, Khepri?” Silvia wondered.
“I know her from somewhere, I just can’t remember… Ugh!” Khepri complained. “Damn old memories…”
“You remember her?! That’s impossible, you two are too different!” Silvia said.
“Maybe she met her when she was a monster? Or well, possessing one?” Justicio asked.
“Nah, this is much older…” Khepri sighed. “Hmmm… Maybe we should go ask her personally?”
“A-Are you crazy?!” Silvia cried. “They’re going to kick us out of the village if we dare do something so bold and reckless!”
“Have some conscience!” Justicio said.
“Tch! Then I’m going on my own, cowards!” Khepri flew away, leaving Justicio and Silvia facepalming.
At the same time, the Great Oasis Spirit sighed, opening her eyes.
“That was rather unbefitting of me… My apologies. I seem to have remembered something about that city, and of the Molluskians. I am fairly sure I knew them from somewhere… But since my last awakening, my memories before that had been rather fuzzy.”
The Great Spirit apologized.
Aquarina couldn’t find any lies in her words, she was being honest.
“So you knew them but don’t remember?” Nepheline wondered.
“I wouldn’t say… that either, but there’s something in me that knows them… to an extent. I believe Molluskians are an ancient race of people from undersea. However, from what I know, they went extinct long ago in a great cataclysm that happened in the oceans.”
“C-Cataclysm?!” Aquarina asked. “What happened?”
“I am not sure, but I believe the Gods had to do something with it… It was at the time of their invasion and forceful terraforming of the planet’s surface. Their capital, the great Coral City within their only Kingdom, the Kingdom of Eversea, was wiped out.”
“I-It disappeared?” Agua wondered.
“Yes… I am fairly sure about it. Why the city is now inside the dungeon, and its people… It is very unnerving and strange, and not something normal at all. There must be something strange happening.”
“Do you know if this Time Traveling thing is real?” Nepheline asked. “And the Rainbow Shell and Prime Magic?”
“I am not sure, I cannot say for certain if its real or not, but such time magic… I doubt even the God of Time, Chronos, can do that. And he’s the strongest God among them, with an Authority over Time itself.”
“I see… well, at least we’ve confirmed that they indeed were wiped out back then, and what we are seeing is either… truly from the past, or fake,” Nepheline said.
“Fake…?” Shade wondered. “But how could any power or ability even reconstruct an entire city with all of tis people? We felt no magic or illusions either, it wasn’t a dreamscape or a soul space, or a spirit realm.”
“Dungeons have mysterious powers… They’re capable of tapping into the Records of the World and reproduce them, creating monsters of all shapes and sizes, treasures, items, and even internal areas and structures reminiscent of the past… I cannot confirm anything, but keep that in mind when you’re there.”
“Thank you, we will…” Nepheline nodded. “I think that’s all.”
“Yeah, thanks for answering our questions and everything, it was very nice of you, great spirit,” Shade said.
The Great Spirit of the Oasis nodded with a gentle smile, glancing at Agua and Aquarina.
“Don’t forget your trial, Agua. Once you’re done, come back to the lake and call me once more… And then I will judge if you passed it or not.”
“Okay, thank you great spirit… I am truly grateful for your generosity and words.”
“Take care. Now, I shall make my leave, I must prioritize the- Hm?”
She noticed, however, something approaching her as she was leaving, a small creature made of golden light.
It had the shape of some kind of golden scarab with a huge red mirror on top of her head.
“Heeeey! Please wait a minute! I think I’ve seen you from somewhere! Won’t you stay for a bit longer please? Pretty please!”
It was Khepri, who reached the Great Oasis Spirit at time record.
“W-Who are you?”
The Spirit was confused.
“I am… I am Khepri! An Ancient Spirit! And I am also a Great Spirit like you!”
“Hah? This must be a joke…”
“I-It’s not a joke! I am greater than other Spirits by a mile!”
“…What do you need?”
“I remember your face from somewhere!”
“…Huh?”
“I do! You were… somewhere… I think you were part of my group!”
“…”
“Do you remember now? Because I can’t really remember well and-“
“I’m sorry, but I really don’t… I have to leave now. Until another time, Agua.”
FLASH!
And then the spirit disappeared.
