Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?
Chapter 1651 1651: A New Trial—–
“Ugh… I can’t believe she doesn’t remember meeeee… She was my… she was my… Uuuh… I don’t remember either! But I’m sure I knew her and that we interacted somewhere…!”
Khepri kept weeping even when the ritual was finally over, resting over Silvia’s arms while the Everstonian girl glared at her with a tired expression on her cute face.
“If you don’t even remember then why you even bothered her?! You idiot! Idiot! Idiot!”
Silvia started hitting Khepri’s head while grasping her body tightly, not letting her go at all! Khepri struggled but could only succumb to her little hits.
“If it wasn’t because they consider Spirits sacred, the people would’ve gotten very angered, you know?” Justicio sighed. “I am honestly shocked so much back and forth went through without making everyone angry…”
“At the end the Spirit of the Oasis wasn’t hostile, although some people got a bit upset, there didn’t seem to be any reasons to hate anybody here…” Said Pyuku. “I did notice a few shaman that were upset about Aquarina’s parents tone with the spirit and how they made her slightly upset but… well, that’s about it.”
“Well, it’s not like they could ever go against them in any way…” Justicio smiled lightly. “Even the Great Oasis Spirit was afraid of them! Come on… They’re just invincible.”
“I wouldn’t say they’re invincible…” Silvia sighed. “Anyway, I’m glad things ended fine anyway. Although this stupid bugger almost ruined it all!”
“Uuuggh! Don’t call me bugger!” Khepri started nibbling at Silvia’s hands with her jaws.
“Ouch! Hey!” Silvia then opened her mouth and started biting her wing!
“Ouch! Ay! Ay! Heeey!” Khepri kept nibbling her back.
Aquarina glanced from afar with Agua, feeling embarrassed for a moment.
“So well, uh, we’ll do the ant hunting then?” Wondered Aquarina.
“Ah yeah….” Agua nodded. “I’m just thinking about stuff, but you’re right, we should do the ant hunting, Aquarina. I was wondering something though.”
“Hm? What?” Aquarina wondered.
“Ah, mostly about what they talked, about that city of Eversea…” Said Agua. “Are those people really dead? Then who are the ones in that city? What’s going on over there? And why did the spirit react in such a way?”
“Yeah that’s really weird…” Aquarina nodded. “But she didn’t lie or anything, she genuinely didn’t remember anything either… Sorry I can’t really tell you more than what she said.”
“Ah, it’s fine…” Agua smiled. “Thank you for doing this for me, Aquarina… I don’t deserve your friendship…”
“Aw, come on, don’t say that! Hahah!” Aquariana patted her head. “Anyway, I guess we should go rest for now. There’s no way they’re letting us go hunt right now, so it’ll be tomorrow morning.”
“Y-Yes!” Agua nodded. “Will you stay tonight? There are enough rooms for everyone.”
“I think we will, right? If your mom approves,” Aquarina said.
“She said it was fine! I already asked,” Agua said.
“Nice, then we’re staying… Though, telling Justicio and Silvia’s parents might be a bit troublesome,” said Aquarina.
As they made their way back to Agua’s house, the chief had a word with everyone regarding the entire ceremony and what they talked about.
She addressed Agua’s trial, and that they could start doing it tomorrow, she also felt it was rather convenient the spirit chose these ants at the end, as it was just what they were going to do anyway.
Lastly, she addressed the thing about the city and everything regarding that, she said that the villagers would not get involved with it for now, as it was too far away and way too underground to even bother for the moment.
Nepheline and Shade agreed with them and said that this was something they were going to investigate themselves.
The mystery and its relationship with the ancient gods was too big, and they believed it could also be a threat to these people if something bad was actually brewing there.
So further investigation was going to happen, probably once Aquarina and her friends are done with Agua’s little trial.
“Alright, I believe it’s time you guys go to sleep,” Nepheline said. “The chief said there were enough rooms for everyone to sleep comfortably here.”
“B-But what about our parents? Won’t they get worried?” Silvia asked. “I would love to stay but I don’t want to get them even more worried…!”
“Yeah my dad is going to kill me if I come back tomorrow!” Justicio nodded, looking dead worried.
“Don’t worry about that, we got you covered,” Nepheline said. “We’ve already contacted all of your parents, and they have agreed to let you in our hands, we promised we would take care of you. And they seemed rather proud you were chosen to do this ritual trial thingy with Agua.”
“Oh that’s nice!” Aquarina clapped.
“Really?!” Silvia gasped.
“W-Well, color me surprised…” Justicio muttered.
Agua seemed very happy, if she had a tail, she would definitely be wagging it around happily right now.
“Then it is decided!” The chief nodded. “You’re all my daughter’s dear friends, and you’re all very strong too, so I will be counting on you to protect her in this trial. The spirit approved of your aid, but as long as she slays at least half the ants on her own.”
“Yeah, it shouldn’t be too hard, leave that to us,” Aquarina nodded with a confident smile. “Oh right, tomorrow we could do some Physique refinement as well! For Silvia and Justicio. I think they’ll need it.”
“Oh right… Would you help me out Aquarina?” Agua wondered.
“Yes, of course,” Aquarina nodded. “Can your mother also help out?”
“I was planning to do so, yes. It’s about time for her to develop something unique of her own,” nodded Agua’s mother.
“W-What about me?” Silvia wondered.
“You too, yeah! Do not worry,” Aquarina nodded. “Everyone’s getting their physique evolution tomorrow.”
“Nice!” Silvia was very happy. “Khepri, we’re getting stronger!”
“Yaaay?” Khepri wondered, looking very bothered and angry. “I don’t care!”
“Ah, but I forgot my stuff back home… I need my Cauldron, and I have a storage of items there…” Aquarina facepalmed. “Should I take a trip there and then come back quickly?”
“I’ll bring them back for you, I can do it quicker in the night,” Shade said. “Go to sleep for now, Aquarina. All of you did a lot today.”
Like that, this very long day finally ended…
