The host of Silva’s army made it to the border of the White Rabbit Field. Their arrival was like the coming of death. Silva raised his hand, and the army behind him stopped. He looked into the distance.
“This is where we make that march. We will be forcing all the rabbits into running, headed right for the kingdom ahead,” Silva said.
He paused for a moment, taking a look at the field, and then he raised his hands, and the army charged forward—abominations and abyssal monsters alike.
The charge caused the field to rumble, and in a few seconds, the rabbits leaped out, ready to charge at whatever was headed their way. But the abyssal monsters and the abominations were not something they could take on, and a massacre followed.
The rabbits started dying in large numbers, and they immediately understood that this was not their fight. Even with their numbers, they could not defeat enemies of this strength.
So they all turned tail and started running in the opposite direction as Silva wanted. The rabbits up front saw their brethren running as well and decided to follow the flock.
They had an innate herd-like instinct, which meant they did things together. All they needed was for a small group to make a decision, and after that, everyone followed.
“Now, I love to see a plan work well,” Silva said as he watched the armies rush forward at a very crazy speed.
“When do you think they will make it to Ronan?” Silva asked Lily.
“At best, in two hours with that speed. They’ll make it right through the field,” she said in response.
“I see. With the rabbits, we will run through the entire Ronan. They possess a relatively weak army, sadly. They are not really what I would consider an opponent, just roadblocks,” Silva said and then transformed into his full dragon form.
They all got on his back, and he shot into the air. He flew over the army below that was chasing the rabbits toward Ronan.
The rabbits increased in number as more and more of the field was covered, and after a good amount of time, they had made all the rabbits come out and charge into the nearest town, crossing the border of Ronan.
The people inside the town heard the rumbling sounds, and soon the rabbits came into view, and panic set in. They started running and trying to make it out of the town.
Silva made a quick fly around the border of the town. He used his dragon breath, creating high walls of purple flames around the town, rising as high as ten feet tall. Discover hidden tales at My Virtual Library Empire
The walls of flames would not allow anyone to leave, as the heat would not only immediately consume their bodies, but their souls would burn into nothing.
And so the massacre started. The rabbits poured into the town. They saw the humans, and to them, the humans looked easier than the army chasing them, so they all decided to get rid of the people blocking them.
Teeth began sinking into legs and limbs, and a bloody scene began unfolding.
A man ran through the town with a sword in his hands. He yelled as he ran, his eyes darting all around to ensure that no rabbit got to him. But out of his blind spot, a rabbit leaped onto his neck and bit deeply into it.
Blood splattered from his neck. The man yelled out in pain and started swinging his blade around, but another rabbit leaped onto his arm and bit into it, forcing him to let go of the sword.
More and more rabbits gathered around him and began eating into his body. He yelled, falling to the ground. The blood made a pool underneath him as his shouts continued resounding, and after a while, his shouts stopped.
Silva watched all these scenes take place. His army was yet to even reach the town, and the rabbits were already decimating it.
“This was easy,” Lily said from his back.
“It was,” Silva responded. He flew past the town and landed on the road to the next, then transformed back.
He looked at Dawn. “You are the only person that might have an issue with what I am doing here right now. Is there anything you would want to say?” Silva asked Dawn. Everyone turned to look at her, waiting to see what she would say.
“They killed our friends. They killed people that we knew. Regardless of who they are, babies, old people—none of that matters. They have never cared about what we wanted. All these humans have done is take and take, even when there was no war.
“My tribe and many other races are victims of their crazy actions. I think it’s time that they get a taste of their own medicine,” Dawn said, her voice resolute.
“Great, because there is no stopping for us now. Our hands are dipped in this too much, and there is no regret,” Silva said. He watched the town surrounded in flames. He could still hear screams inside.
After a while, he allowed the flames to go out because the rabbits had completely run through the town, and now it was time for them to go to the next.
“Let’s head in. The army will catch up with us,” Silva said and walked towards the next town.
The rabbits tore through that town in minutes. The blood of the people, men, women, and children, filled the ground and walls. The entire town was painted red.
The rabbits passed through the town and scattered in different directions, heading deeper into Ronan. Soon, Silva’s army also made it into the town that had just been run through, and since there was nothing to do there, they continued their march.
This movement would go on until they completely decimated Ronan in only a day, and then Silva would move to the next, until the empire made their move.
