Chapter 1641: Chapter 1501 Imperial Clan Attacker

Liangkun Mountain is precisely located between Struggle Land and Wupan Continent, at the border that separates them.

Struggle Land and Wupan Continent are divided by a gigantic dragon-like mountain range, almost entirely isolated from each other.

However, in fact, there exist some highly concealed pathways between these two continents that allow for certain communications without having to circumvent the enormous Fifth Level of the World.

These pathways are often hidden, and there are even rumors suggesting these special passages are the hidden dwellings of the Two Great Royal Families, inaccessible to ordinary people.

The reality is indeed such, the pathways between these two continents are guarded by Imperial Clans; without their permission, others cannot easily traverse between the continents.

Liu Binglan recently explored several boundaries of the Struggle Land, and she didn’t know much about the Ridge Mountain Range,

As for the affairs of the Two Great Royal Families, she always learned bits and pieces from those Boundary Masters, these highly reputable masters seemed to hold a mix of respect and fear towards the Imperial Clan.

“Yu Bo, just what kind of force is the Hidden-Pupil Royal Family? Is their status higher than that of Divine Sect?” Pang Yue asked, who accompanied Liu Binglan.

“Well, in terms of overall strength, Divine Sect is definitely the strongest, without a doubt. The Hidden-Pupil Royal Family is a clan with not many members, but the average strength of their members is higher than the vast majority of people on this continent, owing to various reasons, they seldom deal with worldly matters, only appearing when their entire race’s safety and stability are involved,” Yu Bo explained with a smile.

His explanation was somewhat vague; these words couldn’t directly clarify the status of the Imperial Clan in the domain of humans.

“In fact, they are a group of human guardians, but they are not willing to be unknown guardians, so they assume the identity of Imperial Clan, balancing between the highest rulers and guardians,” said Yu Suo, who had covered her stunning beauty with a veil.

Her tone was mild, but it was clear to everyone that she held a trace of disdain for the Hidden-Pupil Royal Family.

Yu Bo’s smile slightly faded, but upon thinking deeper, he seemed to agree with Yu Suo’s words and could only helplessly shake his head.

Yu Suo glanced at Yu Bo with a slight smile on her lips.

She knew something but was too lazy to elaborate further.

“There will be a small city ahead, shall we rest there for a day and continue our journey tomorrow morning?” Yu Bo suggested.

“Oh, Yu Bo, do you have the map? How do you know there’s a city ahead, and it’s Fine Water City, which I’ve heard is a very beautiful and elegant city?” Pang Yue inquired.

Realizing that he had spoken too much, Yu Bo quickly coughed to cover it up, saying, “I had looked at the map before and remembered it; my memory is quite good, you know.”

“Oh.” Pang Yue nodded, then turned to Liu Binglan and asked, “Aunt Liu, shall we rest in Fine Water City?”

“Mm.” Liu Binglan nodded.

Also accompanying them were Bai Yu, Elder Xiao, ten Holy Guards and the Holy Guard Leader, Yu Suo, Lady Gao, Gao He, along with Yu Suo’s subordinates.

Lady Gao and Yu Suo were already on the list of invitees for this conference, so the group divided into two teams: one led by Liu Binglan representing the New Moon Land at the conference, Bai Yu was separately listed as an invitee. The other team was led by Yu Suo, who brought a sizable group of about ten people, excluding Lady Gao and including Guangyue Palace Holy Women’s Guard.

Liu Binglan wasn’t entirely sure about how much power Yu Suo had amassed over the years while performing as the Lady Yu, but from this group she had brought, it was evident that they were very strong.

Upon arriving at Fine Water City, the group majestically landed in the city on their respective Soul Pets.

Fine Water City lived up to its name; the city’s streets and alleys were like streams of delicate water, with spring pools gushing, clear rivers winding, and streams following the city’s layout, elegant and unique; who knew who had meticulously crafted such a city.

This was Pang Yue’s first visit to such a distinctive city; traveling for days didn’t seem to tire her. Grabbing her peer Gao He, they headed out to explore the city.

The others weren’t particularly interested and each went to rest in their own rooms.

Yu Suo’s group followed her orders obediently; after Yu Suo rested, the others stayed nearby.

However, they did not notice that ever since they entered Fine Water City, two people had continually followed them until they found a place to rest, then slowly slipped into the alley.

These two dressed plainly and did not summon their Soul Pets, blending inconspicuously among the crowd.

After shadowing Liu Binglan’s group, they entered another courtyard in Fine Water City.

This courtyard was very near the city’s City Lord Mansion, indicating that the owner of the courtyard possibly had some special relationship with the city lord.

“Have you seen?” an old lady on the pavilion, half-asleep, opened her eyes and asked.

“Yes,” the middle-aged man who was tracking them replied.

“Why haven’t you taken action?” the old lady inquired with a cold tone, “The first time I saw you, I told you what to do. The second time I see you, I should either see your corpses or see you bring me the person I want.”

The two middle-aged men quickly knelt to beg for forgiveness.

“Lady Yu and Lady Gao are with them, apart from that, the Abnormal Human Bai Yu who was specially invited by our master is also included; with just the two of us, it might be difficult to achieve…” the bearded man explained.

“Lady Yu, what Lady Yu?” The old lady, having been secluded for many years, was not very aware of the outside world.

“She is a unique woman who has been supported by many in Struggle Land in recent years. She too is on the list of special invitees. Nowadays, many forces have started to keep a respectful distance from the Land of the New Moon; I’m not sure what the deal is with this Lady Yu, yet she still travels with them,” another man remarked.

“Humph, just a little maid playing some tricks, doing some good deeds, showing off some charms, what capabilities could she have that you should fear her in the team, you dare claim yourselves as people of my Imperial Clan!” the old lady scoffed.

“Madam, you might not be aware, but the subordinates Lady Yu brought are quite skilled. The two of us together might have a slight advantage, but there are several experts in the Land of the New Moon,” the pair explained.

“I don’t want to hear these excuses. What I want is for you to capture her alive. If you fail…” the old lady waved her hand, showing impatience.

The two did not dare to say more and hastily bowed before retreating.

“Qu Feng, we can’t complete this,” said the middle-aged man with a long beard.

The man named Qu Feng stroked his stubble, pondered for a long while, then spoke, “We need to ask for help.”

“Ask for help? Who would be willing to assist us, especially without knowing our identities?”

Qu Feng thought for a moment, “Didn’t we host a lady a few days ago? Do you know her real identity?”

“Si Yumi of the Dark Sect?” asked the bearded man.

“Right, we can only ask the Dark Sect for help. By offering them a high place, they always enjoy creating chaos, they wouldn’t mind helping us with this small matter. Surely, they’d also appreciate our friendship,” Qu Feng said.

“Right, let’s do that then. Let’s visit her now. It happens that she is resting in Fine Water City.”

Fine Water City Tower, a teahouse shaped like a tower with eaves that curve upwards into numerous flowing arcs.

At the top floor of the teahouse, a dark-skinned man leaned against a wall, motionless. If one did not specifically look this way, they would never notice his presence.

Not far from the dark-skinned man stood a mature woman, gazing out of the window at the cityscape.

“Miss, members of the Imperial Clan, Mr. Qu and Mr. Chen, wish to see you. They seem to know your identity,” said an old servant approaching respectfully.

Si Yumi was slightly puzzled, wondering what these two wanted with her. Were they approaching her as individuals, or as representatives of the Imperial Clan? Since when did the Imperial Clan acknowledge the existence of the Dark Sect?

“Let them come up,” Si Yumi said.

Qu Feng and Chen Jing were invited up to the attic, their faces wearing gentle smiles. They exchanged a few courtesies and subtly acknowledged that they knew Si Yumi was the daughter of a leader in the Dark Sect.

“Speak directly, what do you want? The Imperial Clan always likes to beat around the bush, but we in the Dark Sect are not accustomed to that,” said Si Yumi bluntly.

Qu Feng and Chen Jing exchanged a smile, “We would like Miss Si to help us capture someone.”

“Who?” Si Yumi asked.

“The female honored one of the Land of the New Moon – Liu Binglan,” Qu Feng said.

“Liu Binglan?” Si Yumi found the name somewhat familiar. After a moment’s thought, her expression changed slightly. “Oh? What do you want with her? Surely the Land of the New Moon has not yet caught the eye of your Imperial Clan?”

“It is an order from the Old Lady. All we must do is execute it. The two of us find capturing her challenging, which is why we’ve come to ask Miss Si for assistance,” explained Qu Feng.

“Alright, but you should know that the Dark Sect has always provided relief to those who pay,” nodded Si Yumi.

“What do you want?” Chen Jing asked.

Si Yumi smiled faintly and stood up, “That depends on what you are willing to offer me.”

Understanding Si Yumi’s meaning, Qu Feng nodded and said, “Rest assured, Miss Si will be a distinguished guest of our Imperial Clan. Our clan does not judge a force or a person based on groundless suspicion or rumors.”

“No worries, you need not hold too high hopes for my people. Whether or not we can establish this friendship, we will discuss after the task is complete,” Si Yumi noted.

“Hehe, as long as Miss Si is willing to act, successful or not, you are our friend.”

Si Yumi watched Qu Feng and Chen Jing leave.

After the two had gone far, a somewhat cold-looking man stepped out from behind a folding screen in the attic.

Si Yumi, with a look of interest, watched the man approach, “This mission is being handed over to you?” she asked with a smile.

Chu Tianmang touched his chin, standing upstairs while watching the departing members of the Imperial Clan…

Alas, these two really found the right person!

It seems like the previous attack on Liu Binglan in Struggle Capital was orchestrated by their subordinates, wasn’t it?
