Chapter 1695: Chapter 1552: The Power of High-Immortality Level

The power of the nightmare demon always comes with a degree of pain. If Chu Mu can accept it calmly, it means he has once again transformed into a thoughtless demon man.

Evil aura is the manifestation of evil intentions. Within Chu Mu’s heart, a deep-rooted sense of vengeful resentment has already been planted.

These forces that trampled on the New Moon territory today will one day face Chu Mu’s wrath, accompanied by the unyielding dead souls seeking their revenge on their lands!!

Chu Mu gripped the rising demon flames in his hand tightly and lifted his head to gaze at the higher regions of the Heavenly Mountains.

Ye Wansheng and the others were still trapped on the Heavenly Mountains, and from Chu Mu’s position, he could see many Punishment Hall members combined with splintered forces forming a complete siege around the Heavenly Mountains.

“Do you all know what needs to be done?” Chu Mu turned to glance at the few late-arriving Silver Nightmare Demons and spoke to them calmly.

The White Nightmare Emperor nodded its head, for they could clearly sense the fury igniting within their King.

“Don’t let me see too many survivors,” Chu Mu said.

After speaking, Chu Mu had already transformed into a black-and-white comet, flying toward the higher altitudes of the precipitous Heavenly Mountain range.

Once Chu Mu left, the Silver Nightmare Demons dispersed throughout the castle fortress, and whenever they encountered someone who was not part of the New Moon territory, cruel smiles would unfurl across their faces…

Flying onto the Heavenly Mountains, Chu Mu saw a dozen people standing atop a mountain peak under a somewhat dim sky curtain.

These dozen individuals had around thirty Soul Pets accompanying them, and all the Soul Pets were heavily injured, looking like they couldn’t hold on for long.

Surrounding them, however, were over ten thousand Emperor-level enemies, including hundreds of Dominator-level powerhouses and several Immortal-level beings.

Chu Mu’s gaze swept over them, almost instantly locking onto the leader of the army, Qin Guang.

Chu Mu had encountered Qin Guang in Yin Valley before. This man, the lackey of Divine Sect Vice Master Du Xian, now arrogantly overlooked the dozen besieged New Moon members, seemingly trying to extract something from them.

“Don’t play me for a fool. The treasure of the Heavenly Mountains was clearly taken by you. Do you think I’d believe that old man really honored the agreement with Tang Ang and guarded this place?? Hand it over now, and maybe I’ll spare your life,” Qin Guang threatened with Mental Sound.

“If you have the guts, come and take it!!” Ye Wansheng’s furious voice erupted from the mountain peak, the anger roaring from deep within his throat palpable.

From afar, Chu Mu saw Ye Wansheng. He activated the Displacement Demon Shadow, piercing through Qin Guang’s dense encirclement and appearing on the besieged mountain peak.

Ye Wansheng’s roar had barely ended before Chu Mu was already standing in front of him.

Ye Wansheng froze momentarily, unable to react right away.

Chu Mu looked back at him. His bloodshot eyes seemed about to burst, making him appear incredibly terrifying.

Ye Wansheng didn’t have many injuries, and his primary pets were right by his side, but at his feet lay an elder, quietly motionless.

The elder’s body was partially covered in snowflakes; his hair, already white, spread out messily. His face, drained of blood and half-concealed by disheveled hair, exuded an overwhelming desolateness…

The elder showed no signs of life. He bore no fatal wounds, but his shattered soul had led to his death, an inevitability given his age.

Traces of elixir lingered at the corner of the elder’s mouth—a taste Chu Mu knew well, as it was a Soul Restoration Elixir concocted by Ye Qingzi. The elder seemed to have been force-fed many doses, with the liquid even overflowing from his mouth…

It’s only after death that swallowing becomes impossible.

Seeing Ye Wansheng with fiery anger in his crown and blood streaking his eyes, Chu Mu could vividly imagine that when the Old Man of Cloud Gate drew his last breath, Ye Wansheng was frantically pouring Soul Restoration Elixir into his lips, to no avail.

Chu Mu hadn’t interacted much with the Old Man of Cloud Gate, but he remembered him as someone strict and harsh, yet always leaving a glimmer of hope.

After the New Moon territory gained independence, Ye Wansheng had become his disciple. Apart from accompanying Chu Mu twice to Wupan Continent and Struggle Capital, most of Ye Wansheng’s time had been spent under the elder’s tutelage—their bond a genuine Master-Disciple relationship.

“What do they want?” Chu Mu asked, looking at Ye Wansheng.

Ye Wansheng’s fury slightly subsided seeing Chu Mu. He glanced down at the elder’s stiffening corpse and replied, “I don’t know. That stubborn old man tossed me a Space Ring before he passed!!”

Ye Wansheng remained silent for a moment, glanced at Chu Mu, then lowered his head to say, “I’m sorry; I couldn’t protect him.”

Ye Wansheng knew well that Chu Mu had faced enemies far stronger and numerous on the East Madness Forest battlefield than those attacking the Heavenly Mountains. Chu Mu had traveled countless miles from East Madness Forest to provide support. If East Madness Forest Fortress suffered loss because of this, Ye Wansheng would truly be the sinner of the New Moon territory.

“Hahaha, so some things really just fall into my lap, don’t they? Chu Mu, you brat, do you remember me!!” Qin Guang’s voice rang out, making it clear he had spotted Chu Mu walking right into his trap.

Qin Guang, a Fake Monument Weeper, could sense the Monument Tears residing in Chu Mu!

Qin Guang himself couldn’t awaken the power of Monument Tears, but Du Sect Master knew how to harness it. If Qin Guang offered these Monument Tears to Du Sect Master, he’d undoubtedly reap great rewards.

“Heal your wounds; I’ll handle them first,” Chu Mu said.

As he finished speaking, Chu Mu became shrouded in demon flames.

Black and white demon flames intertwined with a frightful sinister aura, sweeping down from the mountain peak in fury!

The two types of demon flames split distinctly, forming an immense Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams atop the Heavenly Mountains!

The Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams continuously expanded, monumentally enveloping countless towering peaks of the Heavenly Mountains and overshadowing the heads of countless members of the crusade army.

Sinister aura, resentment, and rage transformed into a destructive storm that surged down from the Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams, intertwined with the two types of demon flames!!

“Whhoooosh whhoooosh whhoooosh whhoooosh whhoooosh whhoooosh whhoooosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Like a blazing sun hanging overhead, scorching tongues of fire surged and raged wildly in the chaos of turbulent airflows.

Soon, tens of thousands of Soul Pets and Soul Pet Masters flying densely across the Heavenly Mountain skies were engulfed by the flames spewing from the Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams!!

The remaining dozen New Moon members froze in place, witnessing the overwhelming flames in shock. They had never seen such a powerful skill before—so potent that it could blanket tens of thousands of enemies, incinerating them into mere ants under the fiery onslaught…

This army, which had destroyed half the fortress castles and forced the New Moon inhabitants to the brink of death, had been fearsome, dreadful, and utterly despised for killing nearly everyone they cared about.

But now, these formidable foes had suddenly become insignificant ants, unable even to resist against the raging flames tearing through them.

Fierce demon flames spread from one Abyss Beast to the next Lightwing Bird, then to another Soul Pet and Soul Pet Master. Every instance of fiery engulfment and passing ignited piercing screams—they were cries of torment penetrating to the depths of one’s soul, consuming both flesh and spirit alike in all-consuming flames!!

The interplay of two different flames reflected on Ye Wansheng’s face. He stared in disbelief at the Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams centered on the otherworldly Evil King, Chu Mu.

Ye Wansheng hadn’t seen Chu Mu for a long time, his memories of Chu Mu’s demonization lingering in the state of the Silver Demon.

Though he had heard others mention Chu Mu’s evolution into the Double Evil Nightmare Demon, witnessing firsthand the overwhelming power of this disdain for all living things shocked his very being, leaving him utterly vacant-minded, his gaze fixed solely on this formidable figure.

If Ye Wansheng possessed such power to trample over entire armies, this fortress wouldn’t have fallen, and the elder wouldn’t have died so tragically.

Despite originating from New Moon Territory’s West Region and walking the same Soul Pet Master path, Ye Wansheng now felt increasingly distant from this demon shadow. The enemies he viewed as invincible were obliterated by Chu Mu’s mere hand… This, perhaps, was the high-level Immortal force exclusive to human-leader-level individuals, yet this power remained so far beyond him…

It was Chu Mu’s second time unleashing high-level Immortal force. This power seemed sudden, yet simultaneously heavy; perhaps when the White Nightmare Emperor offered its soul, Chu Mu should have realized that the heritage of the Black Nightmare Demon would steer him irrevocably toward the supreme peak of Nightmare Demons—a path inevitably interwoven with the sinister resentment of dead souls infiltrating his mind.

Yet the immense power was undeniable. This was the reason for people’s fervent yearning to transcend into high-level Immortal realms.

Even massive armies submitted before high-level Immortal forces, rendered utterly defenseless. This was true sovereignty over all beings: life and death dictated by a single thought.

As the Demonic Flame Eight Trigrams swept across, the entire Heavenly Mountains descended into eerie silence, with not a single scream echoing through.

The lingering flames swayed, reflecting on Qin Guang’s sunken pupils.

His face turned ashen, his gaze hollow. Just moments ago, he had commanded tens of thousands of troops, proudly arrogant and overbearing. Now, only scattered corpses surrounded him, leaving but a handful of fellow Divine Sect officers equally aghast and drained of hope.

This was high-level Immortal force! But why did he possess such power!!!
