TALENT AWAKENING: DRACONIC OVERLORD OF THE APOCALYPSE

Chapter 400 400: A Reunion Written in the Stars

White Comet Guild Hallway – Late Afternoon

Ren parted ways with his teammates after the exhausting raid, his steps echoing faintly against the polished marble floor.

He adjusted his glasses, the faint gleam of light reflecting on the lenses.

A sudden rush of footsteps drew his attention. Dozens of guild members sprinted past him, their voices overlapping in hurried whispers.

“Did you hear? The Union President is here!”

“Yeah! He’s meeting Alister and Miyu in the guild garden!”

Ren’s brows knit together in confusion.

“The Union President?” he repeated, puzzled.

He adjusted his glasses again, stepping aside as more people rushed past.

Among the crowd, he spotted Hiroshi and Razorgrin moving along, clearly intrigued by the commotion.

Striding over, Ren called out, “Hiroshi! Razorgrin!”

The two men slowed slightly, turning to face him. Hiroshi wore a mischievous grin, while Razorgrin seemed more focused, his brow furrowed with curiosity.

“What’s going on?” Ren asked, adjusting his glasses.

Hiroshi chuckled, brushing his hair back.

“Oh, you’ve been missing out, Ren. Word is, the Union President showed up earlier, looking for Alister and Miyu.”

He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice to a whisper.

“The Guildmaster tried to tell him they were out on patrol, said he could meet them later. But the guy wasn’t having it—stormed right out of here with the Guildmaster trailing after him.”

Ren frowned. “Stormed out?”

“Yeah,” Razorgrin said, crossing his arms. “Didn’t even wait. A few minutes later, they came back—with Alister, Miyu, and, of course, Alister’s dragons. Now they’ve cleared the entire garden just for them to talk.”

As they spoke, more guild members hurried past.

“I heard the Union President was furious at the Guildmaster!”

“No kidding, did you see his face? Like he was ready to rip the Guildmaster’s head off!”

“I bet it’s about some top-secret mission… or maybe Alister did something reckless again.”

Ren sighed softly, his mind racing. “They cleared the entire garden just to talk? That’s serious.”

Hiroshi shrugged, grinning. “Or dramatic. Either way, it’s not every day the Union President barges in to see our resident dragon summoner.”

Razorgrin nodded. “And with Alister involved, you know it won’t be a simple chat.”

Ren adjusted his glasses again. “I normally don’t poke my nose into the business of others… but this may be a matter of utmost importance, so I suggest we sneak over. I want to hear what they plan to say.”

“Oh, give it up and come clean,” Hiroshi said with a sigh, then grinned. “It’s obvious you’re just as curious as the rest of us.”

Ren ignored him, heading toward the garden.

“My lord, Lady Miyu, indeed this man who stands beside me—the Union President—is your father,” Yuuto said.

The garden of the White Comet Guild was quiet, bathed in the soft glow of the afternoon sun. A gentle breeze rustled through meticulously trimmed hedges and vibrant flowers, their colors vivid against the stone pathways winding through the space. The air was filled with the faint scent of blooming lilies, mingling with the earthy aroma of freshly watered grass. The distant hum of guild activity was absent—every member had been cleared to give them privacy.

Miyu stood frozen, her eyes wide with disbelief. She gripped the hem of her sleeve tightly, her knuckles white. “I… I don’t even know what’s going on anymore,” she whispered, her voice trembling as if the ground beneath her was shifting.

Mar’Garet, standing beside her with an air of practiced authority, gently placed a hand on Miyu’s shoulder. “Calm down, Lady Miyu. Breathe. The world isn’t ending—not yet, at least.”

Galisk chuckled softly, his golden eyes warm with a touch of nostalgia. “It’s good to finally see you both.” His voice was smooth, carrying a weight of emotions hidden beneath the surface.

He hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. “I don’t even know where to begin… but let me start with the basics. My full name is Galisk Vaen Solaren.”

A soft laugh escaped him, light yet tinged with regret. “Funny, isn’t it? Your surnames are supposed to be mine.” He glanced between them, the smile fading slightly into a more solemn expression.

“As Yuuto mentioned, I’m your father. I… only found out recently. For not being there during most of your childhood, I offer my sincerest apologies.”

His eyes darkened momentarily as he shot Yuuto an intense gaze. “Heaven knows I wouldn’t have stayed away if I’d known.”

Yuuto met his gaze with equal sharpness, but after a tense pause, he sighed, the fight leaving his shoulders.

Galisk turned back to Alister and Miyu, his expression softening again. “I’m not sure how to navigate this… but all I know is I want to spend time with you both. If it’s not too much to ask, could you introduce yourselves properly?” His smile grew wider, his gaze shifting toward Mar’Garet and Cinder. “And the silver-haired dragon ladies as well.”

Alister stepped forward, his posture straight, voice firm. “My name is Alister Hazenworth—”

Galisk’s smile turned into a light-hearted grin. “Drop that. Use my surname.”

For a brief moment, Alister smiled.

‘A halfbreed mongrel giving a dragon orders?’

‘Surely such an act should be punished with death.’ Alameck’s voice echoed through Alister’s mind.

Ignoring his words, Alister exhaled and corrected himself. “My name is Alister Vaen Solaren.”

Galisk’s chest rose with pride, his smile radiant as if the weight of years apart had been lifted, if only slightly.

“I’m twenty years old… I like battling and getting stronger,” Alister continued, his gaze sharpening. “A Dragon Summoner… and the Overlord of Dragons.”

The words hung in the air, heavy with meaning, as Galisk’s pride gleamed like the sun piercing through a storm.

Galisk then glanced at Miyu.

“Oh, sweet daughter of mine, it’s your turn.”

Miyu’s eyes widened as she stuttered, “R-right… My name is Miyu Hazenworth…”

Galisk shook his head slightly and interjected, “No, no—do as your brother did.”

Taking a small breath, Miyu straightened her posture and cleared her throat. “My name is Miyu Vaen Solaren.”

A warm smile spread across Galisk’s face. “I’m feeling like we’ve bonded already,” he said, his eyes twinkling with satisfaction.

Turning his attention to the two dragon ladies, Galisk spoke again, “Now it’s for the two dragon ladies who looked like they wanted to rip my head off earlier.”
