The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Klaus was taken aback when he stepped within 400 meters of the city gates. What he felt was something he never expected to sense in an Unwakened world.

Even in an awakened world, one where the strongest is at the Void stage, the innate domain should be the last thing to sense.

‘This can only mean one of two things. First, it is either that the owner of this innate domain has already surpassed the Void stage and entered the Chaos stage.

But if that is the case, then it means they are terrifying, and despite becoming even more powerful, I don’t think I can defeat them.’

Klaus gulped, a crazy look appearing in his eyes. ‘I can’t defeat them, but that doesn’t mean I can’t kill them’

‘Second, and this is far-fetched, but they might have already formed a Soul body. Now, that is something I would want to know.’

[Brat, I know you can sense and feel it. Yes, you are inside an Innate domain, and judging by the feel, it isn’t something you can underestimate.

So be sure to watch it this time and perhaps refrain from taking any reckless actions. Like I said a while back, your world is small, but it contains some of the most terrifying and unique beings I have ever seen.

The senior knew Klaus was a reckless one, so he had to warn him. Klaus smiled…

‘I once had an Innate domain senior. So rest assured, I will be careful.’

Innate domains are basically the metaphysical manifestation of one’s domain. Of course, what is termed as the domain goes much deeper. It is something that only gods can truly comprehend.

It requires Aura, Elements, Law of self, Soul Body, Innate domain, and finally, the Heavenly Laws to be able to form a True Domain.

It starts from the day one awakens their class and begins leveling up. The first kill, that aura that comes from the elemental awakening, and that warrior presence—they are all the beginning stages of domain formation.

Then, when one reaches the Sovereign stage and forms their law of self, the process continues. Of course, someone like Lucy and Anna, who have domains like the Queen of Vine domain, isn’t actually a true domain.

Lucy’s domain originated from her law of self, which had manifested into a partial domain after she cultivated it for thousands of years in the past.

To her, it was merely a self-created technique, something akin to an innate technique.

This allowed her to exert some influence in the real world. But it didn’t actually affect the world; it only affected those who found themselves inside her domain.

And in most cases, it only affected their skills. Lucy’s Queen of Vine domain isn’t a true domain. She isn’t quite there yet.

Innate domains, however, affect some aspects of the real world and, to some extent, allow the owner to exert their influence in ways one cannot do with basic domains like what Lucy and Anna possess.

Partial domains like the Queen of Vine domain can’t do that.

But when it comes to Innate domains, if Lucy were to have one, she wouldn’t have to open the entire forest of vines. She would exert her influence within the radius of her innate domain.

So, if she can cover 12 miles with her innate domain, she can kill someone 12 miles away without having to cover the entire 12 miles with a forest of vines or frost.

To achieve this, one has to go from the Chaos stage through the Ascension stage to the Nether stage. Of course, it isn’t always the case to awaken it after forming a soul body.

But in most cases, Innate domains are awakened after forming a soul body. So far, Klaus had yet to see someone who had formed one. Even he hadn’t formed one, and his team, which was at the Void stage, had yet to do the same.

So, stepping into an innate domain was something that piqued his interest. If possible, he would like to know more about this innate domain.

But in cultivation, asking someone you don’t know or trust to tell you about their domain is considered disrespectful.

They stopped when the Tier 10 Zombie guard blocked their path. Klaus looked at the man, studied his aura, and came to the conclusion that he had some fight in him.

“I am the Human leader. Tell your Queen I am here on a visit with someone she would love to meet,” Queenie stepped forward and said.

Queenie hadn’t even finished when the Zombie gestured for the gate to be opened.

‘The domain owner spoke with him. Although I couldn’t hear what they said, I sensed the spiritual energy. This means they are still at the Novice stage, but to communicate like that, they are already at the peak of the Novice stage.’

Klaus’s interest in the domain’s owner grew deeper as he observed. The stages in mastering one’s innate domain after awakening are Novice, Intermediate, Proficient, Expert, Perfection, and Harmony.

There are six stages, and before one can reach the Domain stage in their cultivation path, they must reach the Expert stage.

However, mastering it to the Expert stage can take several years. Klaus himself struggled with that back in his life as Fruity, so he knew what he was talking about.

Reaching the peak of the Novice stage, 54 years into the apocalypse, was already worthy of praise.

Soon, Klaus, Jaguar, and Queenie entered the door, and that was when Klaus saw where the “Cult thingy” Queenie talked about came from.

Everyone was clad in red, with their heads covered by red coats, appearing as if they feared the sun.

Then it dawned on Klaus. ‘Crap, they are vampires or a part of them is a vampire, which means they hate the sun.’ He had found it strange at first, but now, he knew he wasn’t mistaken.

‘Now that I think about it, the sun should be shining now, but it seems this environment is rather calm and not taking too much of the sunlight. They’re hiding from the sun.’ A smile appeared on his lips.

‘My vampiric Zombies from my 9th incarnation didn’t fear the sun. This means with my blood, they can walk without fearing the sun. This also means I can easily get them to become warriors of Earth.’

While he was fantasizing about many things, a lady clad in red, but with her head uncovered unlike the others, approached them. She has short, dark hair.

“Welcome, Lady Queenie. My queen sent me to fetch you and your friends.” Queenie nodded and began following the lady. Klaus and Jaguar followed.

‘The escort is a level 5 Void stage… these people are monsters through and through.’ Klaus smile
