With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1139 - 1139: A new continent!

After bringing Uri away, Lin Fan took some time in the different cities along the way as he headed back to the Laver Empire.

He would have gone much faster if it wasn’t for the fact that Uri was amazed by everything that he saw.

So in the end, he had to spend a bit of time letting Uri enjoy the new things that he encountered. Otherwise, he certainly would have received quite a few strange looks from the people around him.

They would have thought that he was a brother that abused his little brother.

After Uri took human form, he chose a form that was similar to how Lin Fan looked.

That was why for those that didn’t know, they would have easily mistaken the two of them for brothers.

Though it wasn’t as if that was a bad thing since that was a good cover for Lin Fan.

Uri really was like a child that was coming out into the world for the first time, which was why people thought that he had been mistreated until now. It was only after Lin Fan explained that they were from the countryside that everyone chose to leave them alone.

After all, country bumpkins like this were normal.

They just thought that they weren’t that since the two of them had appearances that were quite good.

Lin Fan and Uri both had quite a few girls hit on them while they were moving through the different towns. Though the ones that hit on Uri were a bit too young for Lin Fan to say anything to…

Eventually, they were able to cross the border into the Laver Empire.

But when they did, they received a warning that they shouldn’t linger too long in the Laver Empire. The guards told them about how the emperor had gone crazy and a war was coming.

The way that they said this was as if they were completely slandering Emperor Kalos.

Though the only thing that Lin Fan really got out of that was surprise that Emperor Kalos was still alive.

He thought that after he abandoned Emperor Kalos, it wouldn’t have taken long for Glory City to fall. Especially since the royal guards that should have been under his command would have already left Emperor Kalos’ side.

Or once the mind control that he used disappeared, they would have found some way to take down Emperor Kalos from the inside.

But based on what he heard from the guards, this didn’t seem to be the case.

Still, it didn’t really matter to Lin Fan what happened to Emperor Kalos.

His one job had been to build him up and then let him come crashing down, driving the Kalos Empire closer to a civil war.

As for what happened to Emperor Kalos afterwards, that was all up to his own abilities. And it seemed that Emperor Kalos did have some abilities that he was able to keep himself alive after all this time.

Or it was that the six factions weren’t interested in taking him down yet.

Regardless of what it was, it wasn’t his problem now that he had accomplished his goal.

So Lin Fan quickly headed back to the village where Rokuko’s dungeon was with Uri.

As for Dungeon Core 563’s group, they had split up after leaving God Valley.

Dungeon Core 563’s group was still registered as a S Rank Adventurer group, so it wasn’t as if they could run off to the Laver Empire that easily. Even if Dungeon Core 563 was one of the members of Haku’s fan club and she really wanted to meet her.

Lin Fan and the spies from the Laver Empire confirmed to her that Haku recognized her contributions and would like her to remain as a spy in the Kalos Empire.

Haku even sent her a message on the forum, which was why she went back to the domain of one of the six factions.

Dungeon Core 563 and her party had a different role to play.

When Lin Fan and Uri arrived back in the village, the first thing that happened was that Haku’s people suddenly appeared. Before Lin Fan could even step foot in the village, they appeared and surrounded him as if they wanted to bring him somewhere.

Lin Fan didn’t follow them at first since he didn’t know if this was some kind of harassment that Haku was using against him.

It was only after they confirmed that they were just bringing him into the dungeon unseen and that Rokuko confirmed this that Lin Fan followed them.

Once they started moving, Lin Fan understood why Haku’s subordinates were here.

It wasn’t because of him that they were here, it was all because of Uri.

They didn’t actually do anything to him, but the way that they were positioned around him made it clear that they were wary of him. At the same time, it was clear that they were forming some kind of formation to act at any moment if Uri did anything.

Only Uri didn’t seem interested in doing anything.

Uri just seemed to be having fun as we walked through the dungeon.

This was his first time in the dungeon, so he was quite interested in everything around him, just like what happened when we traveled through the Kalos Empire.

After a while, they arrived in the core room where Haku was waiting for them.

Though this was Rokuko’s core room, it seemed that Haku didn’t let her come out. Haku was the only one that was in this room waiting for them to arrive.

When they arrived, the first person that she looked at was Uri.

With the look that she cast in his direction, it was quite clear that she didn’t trust him. At the same time, it was clear that she could see him for what he truly was, which was why she was looking at him like this.

As expected of one of the most powerful dungeon cores out there.

Even though Lin Fan had Uri hide his aura, she was still able to see through him as a god.

After a while, she finally turned to look at Lin Fan to ask, “What is your explanation?”

There was a serious tone in her voice as she said this.

This was different from how she had treated Lin Fan previously or how she had ever appeared in front of him. At this moment, there were no personal feelings between them, she was just acting her part as the empress of the Laver Empire.

Lin Fan looked back at her with a calm look before saying, “I found him and befriended him. I brought him back because he wasn’t dangerous.”

Haku narrowed her eyes again to look at Lin Fan as if she was judging him based on what he had said. It seemed that she didn’t want to take any chances in this matter, which was why she was so strict on judging whether Uri was a threat or not.

But Lin Fan didn’t hesitate to look her right in the eyes.

There was a long silence before she finally said with a sigh, “Fine, it doesn’t matter since you won’t be staying here much longer.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help being surprised and a bit confused when he heard this.

Haku just waved her hand at her subordinates who went to open the door on the side. After the door opened, Rokuko and the others came out.

It seemed that they had been listening in from the other room the entire time.

“You need to come back with us.” Yue Lan said as soon as she came over.

“Huh?” Lin Fan was even more confused when he heard this, but he eventually gave a nod.

Since Yue Lan was being this serious, then that meant that there must have been something that happened on the other side while he was gone.

He trusted Yue Lan in matters like this, so he didn’t ask any questions as he prepared to follow her back.

However, then Lin Fan remembered that he had Uri with him.

So he had to ask Uri, “Do you want to come with me or stay here for now?”

Uri looked up at him with his head tilted before asking, “Where are you going?”

“To the cultivation continent.”

“A new continent?! I’m going!” Uri said like a kid that was about to head out on a field trip.

Since he was willing to go, Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he brought Uri along.

Haku just watched them as they left before she turned to Rokuko to say, “You have to be careful around him. That kid is a god, he’s not something you can let your guard down around.”

Rokuko gave a nod to show that she understood.

She knew that Haku must have found something serious when she ordered them to hide like that, but she also believed in Lin Fan. Of course, she would find the chance to talk to the others when they had time to themselves.

A god wasn’t something that was that easy to handle.

Rokuko knew that very well since she was a dungeon core and she had met the father of the dungeon cores before. Just like Uri, Weiss was a god and someone that none of the dungeon cores dared to mess with.

With Uri riding on his shoulders, Lin Fan walked through the gate and came out on the other side.

“This place is completely different from the other continent. It doesn’t seem like there’s any mana here at all.” Those were Uri’s first words after arriving on the cultivation continent.
