Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict
Chapter 1159: 1158 is jealousChapter 1159: 1158 is jealous
Mo Xiuchen first silenced his phone ringer, bent down, and kissed Wen Ran’s face softly, “Ranran, you sleep first, don’t wait for me.”
“Okay, I won’t wait for you.”
Wen Ran nodded, gently pushed him with her hand, signaling him to hurry to the study to answer the phone.
Mo Xiuchen, carrying his phone, entered the study, closed the door, walked to the single sofa, and sat down before finally pressing the answer key, “Hello, Ah Mu.”
“Mo Xiuchen, help me find a house that I can move into within three days.”
From the other end of the phone, Qin Mu’s deep voice came through.
Mo Xiuchen was slightly surprised, and a faint curve formed at the corner of his lips, “Why are you suddenly looking for a house? Can’t you stay there anymore, or don’t you like it and want to change to a new place?”
“Don’t pretend you don’t know.” Qin Mu reproached displeased.
The curve on Mo Xiuchen’s lips widened a bit, “What do you mean pretend? I really don’t know.”
“I’m letting An Lin live here.” Qin Mu scoffed on the phone, saying, “If you hadn’t kept her in G City, she wouldn’t be clinging to my place, refusing to leave. If you don’t find me a good house within three days, I’m moving into your place.”
“My house isn’t lacking a nanny.” Mo Xiuchen’s brows knitted slightly, bluntly striking back at him.
“It’s fine, I’m not coming to be a nanny; I’m just lodging. I thought Ranran’s suggestion before was quite good.” Qin Mu sneered on the phone.
“Three days, right? I’ll definitely find you a good house.” Mo Xiuchen said a bit through gritted teeth.
Of course, he knew Qin Mu was referring to that scene at the hospital—if it weren’t to make Cheng Jia recognize her identity…
Now, this guy was actually using it to threaten him.
A profound look flicked through Mo Xiuchen’s eyes. Ah Mu could openly joke like this, did it mean that he was gradually beginning to let go?
“Yeah, it doesn’t matter if it’s a bit far from the company, as long as I can move in quickly.”
Qin Mu’s requirements were low, and he just wanted to move out quickly and not live with An Lin anymore. That pesky girl, she had occupied his bedroom last night, and now she was shamelessly planning to stick around.
“Alright, I’ll call you once I find it.” Mo Xiuchen’s tone once again became mild and calm.
After ending the call with Qin Mu, Mo Xiuchen dialed Qing Feng’s number, instructing him to find a house quickly.
Coming out of the study, Mo Xiuchen saw that Wen Ran was still awake, immediately frowning unhappily, “Ranran, why haven’t you slept yet?”
“I was just about to sleep. I heard the door open, knew you’d finished your call, so I was waiting for you,” Wen Ran said with a gentle smile, her soft voice brushing through his heart like a gentle breeze, softening Mo Xiuchen’s heart.
“Excuses.”
Mo Xiuchen’s seemingly reproachful words were actually filled with indulgence.
He walked over to the baby crib, glanced at the three sweetly sleeping little ones, and whispered, “I’ll move them to the nursery, Ranran, you should sleep quickly.”
“Will they wake up if you pick them up?”
Wen Ran was somewhat reluctant; in these few days at the hospital, she had gotten used to having the babies in the same room as her, able to see them as soon as she opened her eyes.
Now that Mo Xiuchen was moving the babies to the nursery, she suddenly felt reluctant.
“They won’t, they are sleeping so soundly. Even if I carry them out for a stroll and come back, they won’t wake up.” Mo Xiuchen picked up Ziyi from the baby crib.
Proudly, he lifted the baby towards Wen Ran, turning around, he had barely taken a step when he heard Ziyi start to cry, not with a loud cry, but a low humming sound.
Mo Xiuchen, feeling quite embarrassed, darkened his face; meanwhile, Wen Ran, lying in bed, could not help but laugh mischievously.
“Mo Xiuchen, bring Ziyi back here; if he wakes up Xin Xin and Momo later, you’ll be all over the place again.”
Mo Xiuchen frowned and checked his son for a wet diaper but found none, so he gently patted him. After a few pats, Ziyi fell asleep again.
“Let them sleep in the nursery tomorrow; don’t move them over tonight.”
Wen Ran looked at Mo Xiuchen’s handsome face, marked with frustration, and chuckled.
“Alright, let them sleep here one more night. Tomorrow, when the nanny comes to work, we’ll move them to the nursery.”
After putting Ziyi back in his crib, Mo Xiuchen asked Wen Ran, “Ranran, are you hungry? If you are, I can go downstairs and prepare something for you.”
“I’m not hungry, we just had dinner not long ago. Come up and sleep, you haven’t slept well these past few days.”
A look of distress appeared between Wen Ran’s brows.
Mo Xiuchen responded with an “okay,” climbed into bed, and sat beside her, his large hand tenderly stroking her head.
Wen Ran shifted a bit, leaning against him, and looked up at Mo Xiuchen’s handsome face, asking softly, “Mo Xiuchen, does your head still hurt?”
That night’s car accident, although not severe, had given him a concussion. Yet, he hadn’t rested and had gone straight to D Country.
These past two days, he insisted on taking care of the babies himself, and it pained her to watch.
Mo Xiuchen’s lips curved into a light smile, his eyes spreading warmth, and his voice, deep and silky, floated above her head, “It doesn’t hurt. I knew I wouldn’t be severely injured, so I changed the car’s direction.”
“How could you have anticipated that?”
Wen Ran frowned, the risk he took was too great.
“Ranran, don’t be angry. The car was fast, but it did brake in time. Even if I hadn’t steered away, Cheng Jia wouldn’t have been seriously hurt.”
Mo Xiuchen sighed lightly.
At that time, Cheng Jia had set terms, and the person on the phone was adamant, stubbornly refusing to hand over the babies to the police. When Mo Xiuchen saw the truck coming towards them, he decided to get injured himself to move Cheng Jia.
Cheng Jia was indeed moved; when he fainted, she cried and promised to safely rescue Momo.
“Cheng Jia is really devoted to you,” Wen Ran said with a slight pout, her words tinged with acidity.
“My Ranran is jealous,” Mo Xiuchen laughed lightly.
“How could you not, flitting around charming others,” Wen Ran glared at him. “I really feel like slashing your face with a knife.”
As she spoke, she gestured with her fingers.
Mo Xiuchen threw off the covers, about to get up.
“Where are you going?”
Wen Ran asked quickly, seeing him about to leave the bed, wondering if he was angry. She was just joking; such a handsome face, she wouldn’t actually want to scar it.
“I’m going to get you a small knife since you want to slash my face,” Mo Xiuchen turned his head, teasingly looking at Wen Ran.
“Let’s just go to sleep, and once the nanny arrives tomorrow, you better rest for a few days and stop trying to do everything.”
Mo Xiuchen obediently lay down, turned on his side, pulled Wen Ran into his arms, his lips against her neck, his breaths brushing her neck, and whispered softly, “Once the nanny is here tomorrow, I won’t take care of those three little ones anymore, just you.”
“I don’t need your care, I can take care of myself,” Wen Ran, tickled by his breath, uncomfortably turned her face away.
